Why so many silent updates?

Just downloaded another patch (i don't count it but i think it's the third one in this month) in a row without a description. huh?!

EDIT: Oh ok i found it, Store>News.
I was looking for a changelog in Library>Left 4 Dead 2>View News (So stupid it's not there, it was there earlier)

Same here i cant join games,i got 5 different updates and it only shows gmod and l4d2.
and for the description did you even read the news under the game?

Even Overkill-Starbreeze make a topics of changelogs his Payday 2. It would be greate if someone of Valve emplooyes make the same way here.

Guys, i found it. They did some updates for linux. Just read my the description again, i edited it, and still don't understand why it's not under View News in L4D2.

Yes, that's really stupid the changelog is not tagged as l4d2.

I was doing exactly the same, I was starting to worry about all these updates without changelog.. Valve should fix this and tag the updates correctly.. good thing we have a forum

keep in mind that the Linux version is still in Beta, we currently are in Public Beta(as in the game still has some rough edges but is good enough for public use to iron out the final bugs. You would expect that beta programs are goign to need a larger than usual number of updates. I image that all OS's version have to be updated so that they are compatible.

I have to agree with the OP, it seems that Valve is really bad about informing us about what the updates are for. This goes for Awsomenuats as well. They seem to be good about TF2, but it seems to me most of the others get alot of unkown updates. (at least as far as the game page is concerned, woudl be nice to not have to read these kinds of threads to find out what the update was or do an internet search)....

So there WAS just more than LInux updates....

AND as I said in my earlier post......


I image that all OS's version have to be updated so that they are COMPATIBLE.

and btw, we who use Linux get updates when they are only for Windows or MAC, so what are you whining about???

Chinese font: same as above
Mouse grabbing: same above
Osx i dunno, i dont use this crap
CEF version "rollback" and a little change on the version number on steam.inf shouldn't be 79 mb, like was my last update
