Controlling the Witch

Does anyone know of a mod that lets you play as the witch in VS mode? I have tried to look for it, but I can't find it.

DLR servers are the only servers I know of which offer any witch control.
On DLR servers, you may move the witch towards survivors, and then spawn behind her to set her off, or simply walk her into the survivors and left click to start her attacking the survivors, the same as your left click is your basic ability button for any infected class.

When playing as infected, you walk to the witch, hold your crouch button then hit jump to take control of the witch.

No there isnt. The witch nothing more than a map hazard; a landmine that you can potentially use to get ahead. In no way at all would there be any justification to allow players to "take control" of an infected that can instacap whoever she wants. If anything that would break the game.

You obivously haven't experienced the shear terror that is; Dead Land R ape gaming.

Not only can she instacap, but there is a high possibility that after incapacitating the first survivor who sets her off, she will chase the next closest survivor and incapacitate them also - often this can lead to her incapacitating an entire team, all in less than 5 seconds.
You've seen Witches before, but you ain't seen nothing like a DLR Witch.

DLR is the opposite in way of mods to ProMod.
ProMod strips the game back to it's basic mechanics - I enjoy ProMod also, but can never get into servers.
DLR is great fun for people who are bored with normal versus (Vanilla) and want to experience infected perks, access to guns, tougher tanks/witches etc.
ProMod is more fun for those that want more of a challenge than Vanilla in that you are restricted in weapon choice, access to health etc

You say that nobody enjoys DLR, yet we have more than 8,000 members.
DLR is enjoyed by many, and also despised by many. Again, everyone enjoys the game differently, which is fine.
But to say that 'nobody wants to play' on our servers, is wrong.
Any and all are welcome, just don't expect to stick around long if you are prone to griefing/team killing!

G'day, servers that allow you to do this (yes like DLR) run a server side plugin to do this rather than a client side mod.

So the only way for you to get it working is to install sm/mm onto your server then install this plugin. https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1165331

We use an edited version of this plugin.

As i said nothing to do with my point and if anything you helped prove it. Your point is that your sh!t server allows to take control of something that can 1-shot instacap an entire team (while trying to advertise it no less). My point is that the witch shouldn't be taken control of and especially not like that. Whether some really sh!tty server IS running a mod that allows a player to become the witch and take control of her, doing so would be unfair and game breaking. The witch is meant to be nothing more than a stage hazard that isnt supposed to be taken direct control of otherwise Turtlerock would have allowed that already.

Taking control of something that can run around and 1 shot everyone shouldnt happen outside of a sh!tty mod like DLR and thankfully thats where it will stay.

So no. You can not play as the witch.

Your honor, we use varying health on DLR. So it can take as much as 3 hits on set classes if you play it right.

Also all the OP was asking if there is a mod, addon / plugin that allows this and for a link to it.

Used in conjunction with the psycho witch plugin means yes, she will redirect to other survivors based on percentage chance after incapping the first one if they are within sight.

The point of modded servers is to NOT conform with the same game that people have played for the last ~5 years. So yes it may differ from it's original intention. And yes we respect your determination to dislike scary new things and as such have banned you so you don't have to experience it.
