Zombies are black and white

Each time it loads up a different part of a campaign, the zombies are black and white, to fix this I just need to change one thing in the graphic settings part, but its very irritating, what fixes it and causes it?

It's a missing or broken texture. Verify integrity of game cache to fix it. (Right mouse on Left 4 Dead 2 in Library, properties, local files) :)

I know Alt+tab causes it. I don't know if it is similar to what you have.

Usually its caused by a SourceMod called 'Allow allcoloring' or something similar, try removing any source/metamods in your Addon folder then clear the game chace or something. usually it helps.

It happens to me whenever i check somehting on facebook when the next map takes a long time to load. Graphics card error probably. Update your drivers.

If you change i think its shader settings to something else and then back to high (or whatever you have it set to) then it makes them back to normal.

If you alt tab then the textures do not cache per animation
