...the Helicopter Pilot's name is never stated even though he is one of the few NPCs that you can actually see in the game, as opposed to people like John and Amanda Slater, and even Virgil who are named and you never get to see what they look like. You'd figure there would be some sort of introduction as to when the survivors meet the pilot and his name would have been stated.

Or am I mistaken, and the helicoter pilot's name has been mentioned somewhere?

While I can understand all the "Fandom" and people liking the back stories, I couldn't care
less about inconsistencies in the plot.
It's a zombie FPS game. You shoot lots of zombies. All the time.
That's the hook, and it's all I need. Who cares how the pilot is called?

So, bottom line, I for one don't expect a deep and well thought out plot in such a game.
But again, not judging anyone who wants to know and wonders about that.

Not everyone likes a mindless zombie shooting game where all you do is hold the trigger non-stop all the time. :p If that's all there was to this game, it would get boring very fast. Many people do care about storylines. Otherwise there wouldn't be one at all. Look at all the writing on the walls, look at what the survivors say. There is a story you know. It's amazing to me the amount of people that play any game not realizing the storyline right in their face, they just wanna go for the kills. I've come across a lot of those in various games.

Nope. He was the 2nd last person on earth. He died in the rescue vehicle and the player crash-lands and has to find another rescue point!
