I made my left4dead2 in windowed mode and now every time i launch it it causes my PC to blue screen. i would love any help on this.

Try changing your dxlevel in your launch options and try fullscreen.

"-dxlevel 90" "-fullscreen" (Without ")

How to set launch options:
Right-click on Left 4 Dead 2 under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.
