Many like to play on the modded servers, so there will be a whole lot of them. If you're playing versus and you're having trouble finding a vanilla server, start your own lobby and choose official dedicated. If you're playing addons, there aren't any official dedicated servers, nad you're probably SOL and have to take what you can get.

Or you can do what valve want you to do and rent your own, as it saves them money on hosting and instead they can make money by letting pinion insert ads, since pinion pays for the hosting and valve, well they sold you the game and dont have to pay server costs.
