Problem with starting the game

Please help. When I want start the game (Left 4 Dead 2), the steam write to me report... "Filed to start game (missing executable)" . I try everything and it´s not working :/ :( . Can you help me please ?

Did you google it? There's some fix out there that involves deleting the appcache folder iirc.

Yeah I try that. But it´s not working. I have reinstaled windows 7 (i copy steam from backup : "windows.old"). This moment, I go reinstal steam. Please help with this bug. (verify data is not working too)

Yeah, using the windows.old backup might not work for Steam, you might want to try just reinstalling Steam and everything else. Keep the archived folder, though, as you can copy and paste out your game saves, mods, and etc.
