There is a mod that exists (not through the workshop), which will satisfy the maniac inside of you.
Although I have heard it is risky, and may result in a VAC ban. I'm not sure of the details of it, and may be wrong - It's just what I've read.

L4D2 has not been submitted for reclassification since your government approved the new rating. Valve commented quite some time ago that they were looking into it, and that it's something that they'd like to do, but nothing else has been said. Perhaps they changed their minds and just don't think it's worth it after almost 5 years. I see you already own the game, so having someone gift it to you who lives in a country where it isn't censored wouldn't help you much. What Dharok mentioned is the only other way to uncensor the game, I believe. I wish you luck.

Left4Gore or something like it is the only way for you then AFAIK.

First of all I'm Australian too, so I know your anger. Visi is right though, they did say they would look into it but the odds of them paying to get a 5 year old game reclassified isn't high.

However you can play the uncensored version of Left 4 Dead 2 even if you have an Australia copy. I use this myself, it's a little program called Left 4 Gore[www.left4gore.com] and it uncensors your game. Yopu just start it up everytime you want to play Left 4 Dead 2, it will make a beeping sound and the game will be uncensored. I have been using this program since I bought the game in 2009 and so has everyone I have known. I have never heard of anybody VAC banned for using this. It won't get you VAC banned or banned of any kind. So download it and start having fun :)

It would have just been a ban from whatever server you were playing on. VAC doesn't really name and shame. There's just a red VAC Ban notice on the players profile so others users can avoid playing with them if they choose. If people don't want to get named as a hacker/cheater then they shouldn't cheat :P
