Crash to desktop ONLY IN VERSUS

Tons of threads and guides exist about the "crashing to desktop without error" issue, I know.
But my problem is that IT ONLY HAPPENS IN VS, and it happens ALL THE TIME!!!

I verified game cache, deactivated ALL my addons, it doesn't do anything. Note that it doesn't happens to me in campaign.

Anyone else has this "crash in Versus only" issue?

Yeah, same problem here. Doesn’t happen often, maybe one a week or so, usually while playing infected before spawning while the infected player is still ghosted. I wouldn’t say it crashes, rather the game self-terminates. No error message recorded in the Windows Event Log. The game just closes itself.

Yes, no error messages. It happens to me at the end of a round, when I change sides or when I load the next map. But it can happens 4 times in 20 min or only once a day, I don't get it.

This is a known issue since release. valve will not fix this, ...

it's a known issue that it only crashes in VS sometimes? Sorry I didn't know that.

Yeah, I can also confirm that I never had all these CTD in hours and hours of campaign, while in versus it even seems to got worse in this very last weeks/months...I think it's not just the game itself, which has been patched way too much in the years, I think it's more a servers/steam/whatever problem, something maybe related to the "net" infrastructure of the game, dunno...but yeah it happens A LOT even with 101% cleaned cache/no addons/whatever...it's adding frustration on an already good frustrating game XD
