Game not starting

Left 4 dead 2 wont start for me, It will get me to the main page and if i want to start it brings me up to the loading screen, then I hear a bunch of sounds then a black screen comes and I get a blue screen. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening. It used to work when i got it then now it's messed up.

Try verifying the game integrity files(right click on the game in your games list).
