Riot Shield missing?

I am sure that everyone noticed that Riot Shield is not being used in L4D2 anymore...sad...Cause I really miss the Riot Shield. Anyone knows a mod or servers that we could use real Riot Shield as a weapon? Cause I wanna test and see what does it do and what can it do. Thus it might the new updates that Riot Shield is not in the game...
Maybe we can use Riot Shield in L4D2 beta?

It was never used officaly, it's a incomplete weapon.

A flare gun was meant for hard rain, but they removed it.

Munkee made a host local server with that mod and as I was joinning, I saw the riot shield and other stuff too. Too bad some stuff got cut.

I have it on my server too. You can add me to see it. Also. The old patch as I remember blocked attacks from all types of infecteds. If switching to weapon like Sniper,Shotgun and others the shield goes back and covers your back and you could also grab 2 shields. Again it was old patch. But thus I guess Valve removed the Shield cause it was OP. Yes,you heard me OP! Cause it was making 2 hits at once in new patch and faster swinging. Sad cause it is good weapon.
