OK, seriously - how do you get this achievement? No matter how many times I try, it never seems to work. Is this a mystery of some kind?

I think this is the achievement to play the Portal song, Still Alive, from a jukebox. Just keep trying until it comes on.

Nope. Just keep playing songs on a jukebox until you get it. I'd recommend doing it with AI, because real teammates will get pretty pissed.

This is an achievement from The Passing. You have to play the new Midnight Riders song on the jukebox in the bar in that campaign. It says so in the description for the achievement.

So it's only for The Passing? Anyway, it basically plays only 4 songs in random order including the new Midnight Riders but the achievement never pops up. Yet, I see players who have recently got it so...

I don't think it's limited to the Passing. I have seen it popping out in Swamp Fever and Parish. Although it seems that not all Jukebox will give you that song, so keep trying as long as you see one.

I just got it - it's specifically limited to The Passing dlc. I've tried it on The Parish and The Sacrifice but didn't get it. The achievement icon colour is purple - it's for The Passing dlc only.

I got this to PikaGirl by dj s3rl.. I think on the swamp fever survival level.. i think you need to play through the whole song.

Drop a quarter in every juke-box you come across, you'll get it. I just got it yesterday.

The parish and Swamp fever chapter 1. Easiest way, go to the parish, near the start, you will see a small bar. A big yellow juke box is inside.

not hard to see ,it is 1 of the few buildings you can go inside on the first chapter.

I had ♥♥♥♥♥♥ every single achievement you can get on single player (Xbox 360 version) and the "Killing Em' Swiftly To This Song" was THE last one because the first time I attempted it was a long time ago, maybe months and I was baffled cause I thought well this is an easy achievement. Just go into the bar in "The Passing" campaign and just tap the jukebox...didn't unlock and I was like "♥♥♥♥♥" but then I thought, I'd come back to it. Fast forward to almost 6 AM in the morning today and I decided to go through my achievements list and remembered I still didn't get the achievement and I kid you not, I did the same exact thing I did last time but since I was determined and knew something was up, I waited until that first long a** song was over and hit it again and a Midnight Riders song came on and I was like, "sure this will get it". It didn't unlock and I thought to myself, maybe it needs time to unlock so I played the rest of the campaign and it still didn't unlock. Then I got desperate and looked it up and found this very thread and you helped me get it instantly, Sir.

I read where you said it's for sure the jukebox in the passing and then I saw the one comment where I had to spam the use button on the jukebox until it pops. So I went back on and restarted on the underground chapter and went straight in to the jukebox and repeatedly pressed "X" until a slow song came on and the ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED :P

Also it unlocked right when a record with a bluish purple label was put on and I remember the other person saying that too so if anyone is struggling to get this achievement and need a clearer summary:

GO TO THE JUKEBOX IN THE PASSING

FLIP PAST THE FIRST COUPLE SONGS UNTIL IT UNLOCKS CAUSE THAT IS THE TRICKY PART. If you just turn it on once or twice like I did expecting it to work, it won't until you hit the right song :/ I feel like a moron now but this thread helped me a lot cause I knew I was doing something wrong apparently after having so much trouble and confusion over this.

I will have to give Valve credit for this achievement cause as simplistic as it sounds on the instructions on how to get it, it's not specific and it's almost like a mini easter egg/puzzle Valve encourages you to do so props for a clever troll Valve! And thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread, it saved me time and I got it instantly after reading your tips.

The Parish didn't give it to me, got it on the 2nd chapter of The Passing, in the bar down the first street with pool tables. Keep replaying until it selects the #05 song on the bottom right, and I don't think the Portal song gives the achievement.
