FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME PLEASE!

Alright so i was playing l4d2 versus like i always do when all of the sudden i start getting stuck at loading screens getting the error message "Connection failed after 10 retries." I soon realize that for some reason i can join modded servers just fine, but not regular ones. I have since then reinstalled the game, deleted all add-ons, and updated the file cache about 5 times. I am sick of looking at complicated forums, but i miss good ol' l4d2. ANY INPUT OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE NICE!!!!! Thank You.

Probably has to do something with steam or your router, sometimes your routers settings changes automatically (get a manual if you still have one!). See if you can edit your router settings on steam or if you changed it accidentally.

Thanks for the help, but i don't see why turning your firewall off and looking at the router are the go to answers for this problem. After hours of searching i finally found something saying to reinstall steam (keeping you SteamApps folder obviously). This worked for me and i'd advise anyone else with this problem to do the same.
