Is it possible to create a private game?
I always play with my girlfriend Left 4 Dead 2. Sometimes my friends or her friends join to us and we really want to play alone without any friends. My question as u see is if I can create a private game only for two players. Thanks :wolf:

Make your lobby friends only, then put yourselves in offline mode. No one will be able to see your game, no one will be able to see you online, no one can ever join you. You'll be in l4d purgatory together. Which is so romantic <3

No, its not working.
all three of us were offline, cause one not nice person destroyed our game and still this little bastard was able to connect to our game and tried to ruin it once more.
of course lobby was friends only

Any other advice?

Wait was he/she ur friend? If dont then try local host instead of a public server :)

No, he is not my friend and nobody from my team has him in friend list. We tried to go offline but he was still able to connect. We also blocked all communication with him and reported this guy but it didn't help either. Is there anything in workshop for Left 4 Dead 1 that would allow to ban trolls from game?

If a player is bothering you, you now have the ability to insta-slay, kick without voting restrictions, and more. I hear that you can even teleport them to you, but I haven't tried that out. I haven't used these mods in a long time, as I use sourcemod and metamod on my server. They do work while disconnected to the internet.

Further, I recommend grabbing Rayman1103's mutation mod. It'll have a large list of customizable online games, including mutation gamemods specifically designed for 2 players, and more.

When set up with the combined mutations and admin menu, it'll be difficult to interrupt your game session.

Its l4d 2 discussion thread, while i was asking about left 4 dead first

Is there anything similar for left 4 dead 1 ?

So simple, instead of creating a lobby, one of you do "map c1m1_hotel versus/coop/whatever"
The other uses the connect command with IP.
If both stay in offline mode this game would be practically invivible

Making lobby friends only won't do much, people can still join.

And that's normal people I'm talking about, without using console.
