Why are all L4d players Jerks?
I used to play this alot after it came out, and since having a break with DI and DI:Riptide, Ive come back to find just about all serves are full of jerks who press the kick button as soon as look at ya, also the same type who log out if they go down and cant wait for the others to fight off the hords to pick them up..

what is up with these ppl its only a game after all,
it makes me think of the old days when I used to play Quake wars online, and all the ppl on the servers acted like it was a real alien invsion..

Maybe its just all the COD players have nothing better to do,

Dont Call me a Jerk .. Bille-Boy
Ok ok, It was a sweeping generalisaton, because Im in there as a player too y'know
I wholeheartedly agree with you, which is why I now only play with friends.
Playing with strangers really sucks, unless you end up in a session with decent people. Takes ton of luck though.
I hate to admit this but the reason for My post is Also because of my Daughter who got L4D on Xmas day for Free, she isnt really old enough to play it, but as there is almost no swearing in it, compared with the likes of GTA5, I let her play it, its only cartoon violence she understands its fake, so she gets all the kicks too, from being called a noob to getting told "I hope you get Cancer"
and since Xmas Ive played alot of Jerk servers,
she is pretty good at FPS games, but like ALL games there is a learning curve, and she keeps getting kicked for not knowing everything about the game,
back in 2009 when I got L4d2, im glad it wasnt like that or I think I would have quit Steam and gone back to Gamespy (if it even exists still)
it depends on how you play and who you play with. ALWAYS play with friends for the best experiencce. invite and add them
Always play with friends!! If you want a real challenge play with others!! :P
Most of My Friends have moved on form L4d :-(
Right now the best games Ive had are mid morning on a week day, by hitting Quick Match.

Yes, I have to agree.

I got kicked very often.
I once got kicked because I was choosed to be the tank and someone else wanted to.
Also, someone kicked me because I had a higher score.

As far as I know, you can't play more than 8 rounds on a public versus game without to get kicked.
The reason is that since lots of new players came you need to be picky about team mates if you want to have good experience. When i am playing scavenge and there is this guy going alone just giving chargers chance to instant him i will tell him not to go alone and get a cover. Basically i am trying to tell people what are they doing wrong which not all ppl just obey (don't tell me what to do) But once they repeat their mistake to get killed or get the team killed i will surely call the kick vote.

I guess this is not your case since you played left 4 dead before so yeah getting kicked for no reason sucks. How to change this? Before you kick someone tell them why.

Also yeah you can play with friends, but if you play in public and get lucky to find good team (of guys from your country) then you can find new friends easily.

I have said it once. And I guess I will keep saying it. Selecting Quick Match is the WORST thing anyone can do. You are just setting yourself up for frustration from Quick Match. I hate it in campaign, when people vote to change the difficulty. Why did they not search for games on advanced if they want advanced?

Please be responsible for your choices. If you go into public games, then be prepared for bad things to happen. It happens all the time in online games. L4D, Counter Strike, MMO's like World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, ect...
The L4D2 price !!!

Yes, DON'T choose quick match. I think this is your problem.

theres alot of jerks online its the internet...just find friends to play the game with it makes it more fun :)
Can't say I've experienced what you say you have!
Then again, I pretty much stopped playing versus modes after completing the achievements...

In campaign mode there's a lot less jerks. The only real problem you'll run into during campaign runs is people not carrying their weight and often ignoring advice and getting you killed.
Sometimes that provokes an aggressive response (I get annoyed too) but overall people just go down, die and retry!

After all, a victory is extra satisfying following a failure.
If you and your daughter are competitive and prefer playing versus, you may be out of luck until the time you become the best L4D2 players there are. People nitpick and complain about others even when underperforming themselves. And frustration brought on by their own mistakes might be directed at you.
