Running along the bridge with my teammates when a smoker grabs me from above. 'no problem', I say to myself, 'they'll shove me and I'll get on with my business'.

No.

There wasn't even any significant horde they just walked around a bit and shot some zombies while I was next to them getting choked. I got choked all the way through death and they were right next to me all the time.

I had that same exact experience today. The kicker? My teammates are bots. I was playing solo because no one was playing said level at normal or easy (I just started playing L4D2 last week and don't think I'll cut it at advanced and expert- I can't even complete the final level of Dark Carnival without losing one survivor on normal). Apparently the game spawned the infected in a place on the map where the team mates can't see.

Anyways, I think the bridge is too cheap and biased towards the infected. Too easy to get insta-killed. Got insta-killed four times today- twice knocked off by chargers, one by a tank throwing a car at me while I'm pinned, and once by said smoker suffocation and said game AI failing to detect the smoker.

you also gotta understand, thats the big escape, its suppose to be hard to survive.
thats like a final boss in a game dying in 1 minute.

as for advanced, you can do it, i do it all the time. bots are helpful minus on expert. tried it, ellis died before the elevator on dead center.

Munkee- Noted. I just gave the level one more shot and made it this time. But well, I have no doubt that all four players will need to be quick thinking and know the map well to get through on advanced and expert. I even thought I wasn't going to make it a few times in this round.

I'll try joining an online game the next time I play. I just have to read up on the game norms before I start to make sure I don't end up pissing other players off.
