L4D1 Co-op crashing on Dead Air.

To anyone who can read this: I intend to play through the L4D storyline canon-wise by playing through Left 4 Dead 1 campaigns in the L4D1 Co-op mutation.

Like the title says, Dear Air did not want to co-operate with me. The first crash starts at around the time you enter first hotel room in Chapter Two. I should tell you that I am playing with all other survivors as bots to save time. So once all the bots have entered the "living room", the game crashes for an unknown reason.

This same crashing happened when I decided to skip Chapter 2 and go on to Chapter 3. The game crashes as soon as Francis grabs a Hunting Rifle off of a washing machine. My memory of Dead Air is bleak but it was shortly after navigating the electrical/industrial compound. I hope you know what I mean. So I think these crashes are related to survivor bots picking up weaponry, since in Chapter Two there is always a weapon on the bed where I said that chapter's crash took place.

I hope you guys can help me and give me a solution to help this.

Another thing: I have OCD and if you guys tell me to do it in regular modes with L4D2 additions, my heart will hyperbeat the speed of a cheetah.

Does the game just crash to the menu or perform a full crash to desktop? Does it give an error message when it does?

Full crash to desktop. No message is shown at all.

That's probably a problem with the game. Try verifying your game cache.
If problem persists, buy Left 4 Dead for full crash-free Left 4 Dead experience.
