The freeze itself has nothing to do with ur crash. Its addons. One of those conflicts (map-weap, weap-weap, map-map) makes ur game crashed. Could be something like back on the desktop or stuck on loading.

To fix it, you could do the following:
- disable all addons
-find the problem by check/uncheck every single addons that you installed (red tagged ones are bad)
-reinstall the game

I did make some videos with maps that dont conflict with other maps/weapons.

This happens to me so much! My game will just kind of freeze, then eventually the screen will go black and I have to force shut down. This only happens in L4D2 though, not in Garry's Mod or anything.
