It's guaranteed adware, you need to close client to get rid of the ads playing.
Probably malware too considering the ads look shady.

It's not guaranteed anything. Adware is a malicious type of program, software, service, etc, centered. Ads can play in the server MOTDs. It's how it works.

It's not "probably" malware either. It's an ad, as in advertisement. Almost all servers have ads of some sort.

I never heard ads since I start playing this game.
Don't know if it's related, but I've muted game's musics a long time ago.

Also, here's a little tip if you don't want any ads to be played :
During the loading, when it's close to be finished (the progress bar reached +-90%)
- press escape (a black screen will show up)
- mash enter till the game is finally loaded.

This should close the Motd popup before the ad on it loads.

Please try it and report back, I wanna know if it works but I can't try it myself since I don't have ads at all.

Problem with these ads is that they load stupid loud music, on top of that they keep playing even if you leave the server.
It also keeps spamming the console full of ♥♥♥♥, it's definately malicious imo.

I don't know why they don't remove these modded servers, so annoying.
