Custom Campaign Sounds Not Working (Solved)

When I try to play a custom campaign, custom voice lines and music don't play. I've had this problem before and it's fixed itself, but now I can't seem to fix it. Any help?

what custom map are you playing? give us link to the download site.

It's happened on many campaigns. I've tried it on Dead before Dawn DC and Undead Zone.

open your dev console

snd_rebuildaudiocache

hit enter.

it will probably take a long time to finish, sit tight.

see if that helps.

i'm not sure of the fix. if l4d2 audio works on official maps but not in the custom campaigns then i'd have to chalk it up to being a problem with the custom map.

i noticed you got it from the steam workshop, maybe unsub from there and download it off of gamemaps. i didn't take a look but maybe the steam workshop version is not from the original map maker? searching the net i notice that DBD-DC has had some audio issue for other players.
not sure about Undead Zone...never played it.

anywhoo, sorry i couldn't have been more helpfull.

if i ever get motivated i may do a MD pills.
right now i'm tinkering with another map.

I tried your suggestion and I noticed something interesting. While some custom sounds DO play, others don't. I also noticed this on workshop campaigns as well.

Did you subscribe any custom sounds mod like this one at the bottom? It's pretty much where the problem comes from since I had that similar problem myself.
