Game not getting past the installation window

I've had this game for quite some time but have never played it due to the fact that when I click "Install", it sits there between five and ten minutes without making progress then gives me the "Installation has Timed Out" message (I don't remember the exact message, but I've gotten it before, though the installation worked on the second try)
