Is there a way to increase ping manually?

Unfortunately it's very difficult for me to play at a ping of zero, I'm really comfortable with 40-50 though. When I do a solo run on a local server, the ping is always zero, so any possible way to increase it without idk, dosing self?

I've never heard of anyone wanting to increase their ping, but you could try setting something to download on Steam and throttling it to a certain speed, depends on your internet connection.

If you host a local server you dont have a ping of anything other than zero.
You are hosting it so you cant connnect via the internet, hence no ping.
