That was what really caught my attention while browsing the store page, didn't even realize who was making this game until then.
dq_177: Max Getz appears because we kind of couldn't resist putting him in the Multiverse - he's one of the more extreme characters in Dead State, and his ultra-grimdark-ness in the bright Multiverse was compelling to us. Brian took the lead in writing his dialogue here in Multiverse High as well, and OK I'm going to stop talking about it so I don't drop spoilers. (I'm also hugely excited that he's recognizable in cartoon form too, our artist Sarah was great at translating him over)
Echorion: 1) licensing fees 2) I think it exists already? 3) the idea of searching DeviantArt with those terms makes me very VERY certain I'd see something I could never, ever un-see, even if they invented eye-bleach or mind-wipes. (Also, you may laugh, but half the developers I know have had to work with a license they never thought they would / were terrified to deal with. Me? VEGGIE TALES. The less said the better)
He got all the Dead State references. Even the music!
To be honest, I would've liked to see my personal Dead State survivor, Mia. But I guess a methhead going through withdrawal wouldn't be that good a fit for the setting.
