Suddenly Game Doesn't Load

I wonder if anyone can help.

The game has been playing fine, now today when I start, it loads fine....
But I press start to start game and I'm just getting the spinning logo and that's it?

I have the same problem, started playing yesterday and now today it is stuck on the loading screen. Already let steam check the game data. It replaced one file but that didnt help either

Aye. Just did the same, but no luck.

Getting the same problem. Works fine until you press start, and it just gives you the spinning loading logo.

Jup, same problem here.
Neither replaciong/deleting the config files nor savegames helped. I am currently reinstalling, but I got little hope.

IIRC, Darksiders connects to THQ/Vigil servers for info like your THQ account even when you do not have one. My best bet is that the servers were finally shut down since THQ and Vigil went belly up some time ago and the game therefore gets stuck. Let's hope they are just down for a short period or that it is something entirely different...

Does anyone know if it was possible to play DSII offline or did it always need a working internet connection?

The same happened to me... i bought the franchise pack yesterday, i played the game 1 time and today only the spinning logo...

The same online problem here but the offline play is working just fine. Hopefully will be able to sync later

Just great, same problem here, but I haven't played it since 2 or 3 months and stuck on the spinning logo :(

Same here... installed and even deleted my saved game after a re-installing it about 5 times. Also tried a different hard drive to install to, no luck. At least I know it is not just my computer after i just formatted it the other day :)

Same here! Hopefully someone at Nordic will notice that there is something wrong with the servers, but Im not holding my breath for it.
