Hello All!

New update hitting around 10am PDT tomorrow (10/10). Full list of chanegs below:

Changelist
  • Updated controller aim sensitivity, less sensitive.
  • Increased controller deadzone range to prevent aim drift.
  • Items and upgrades that you own can now be sold for the original amount you paid. This will allow you to experiment more in early game and switch between item upgrade levels.
  • New icons for buying and selling items/upgrades.
  • Changed how you add items to loadout with a controller from “A” to “LT”
  • Bullet spread is now tied to gun heat. As the gun heats up, accuracy will suffer progressively. Shorter burst and cooling help accuracy.
  • Gun reticule will now dynamically scale and brighten up with more enemies on the screen to help visibility. (Steam only)
  • Improved Twitch Challenge stability. (Steam only)

This update is now live! Please use this thread to report any issues you might experience and any feedback you might have about the new changes. Especially interested to hear your thoughts on the new buying/selling mechanic.

I tried using gamepad again, and it no longer moves all around.
Deadzone fix works fantastic!

Suggestion for the shop menu using a gamepad. This is a very minor thing.
It seems difficult if not impossible right now using the Dpad to in/decrease number of rounds to buy by 1. So it might be nice to change that so it slowly goes down/up 1 at a time if pressing left/right, but by 10's if pressing up/down on Dpad. This, in other games, has given the finesse of buying a specific amount, while keeping annoyance at bay trying to get max amount via allowing jumps of 10.

Edit: Being able to sell things might allow me to get armor now.
The buy/sell for same price is great for experimentation.

Great to hear! I'll see what I can do to improve the fidelity of that slider for re-supplying items.

There's a "bug" or rather an oversight with the shop menu and the gamepad. When you hold LT and then press A to add an upgrade to an equip slots, the pressing of A will sell a teir of your upgrade in addition to equipping it.

Also, an extremely minor issue, when Alt-Tabbing is there's usually no box on the bottom of my screen. I think it's called the "task bar", which means you can't click to get back to it, you have to Alt-Tab through anything open to get back. EDIT: I'm on Win 7.

Ahaha. You keep noticing my posts before I have time to edit and add more stuff. Sorry for the constant distraction. I'm stuck on The Blob's NG+ version for a bajillion tries so I'm noticing all these oddities. BTW do the mobs spawned by Blob become resistant to damage or get more HP as the Blob gets low? I've gotten it to the point where one more nade in its hole would kill it, just after the nade that gets it that low the adds seem to tank all my regular ammo in their face and kill me.

Bug:
I had regular ammo in both slots and the Cluster Mod equipped on one for experimentation. I then sold the Cluster Mod without un-equipping it, and replaced the regular ammo in that slot with a ♥♥♥♥-ton of Peircing Ammo. I start The Blob NG+ fight again and notice when the mobs come out and I try to fire a stream of piercing ammo that it fired a shotgun blast, and had a cooldown. The Cluster Mod was still equipped even though it shouldn't be.

This also happened with the chainsaw. I tried it out, but then decided to sell and forgot to place anything else in the melee slot, and I still had the chainsaw.
Short term I'll sell something, then buy the Cluster Mod so I can une-quip it, then sell it again, and rebuy what I sold.

Yeah I need to fix another bug with buying/selling, should come online tonight.

For the Blob, when he spawns those pink pools with smoke coming up you'll want to throw a grenade to clear those out as they give a health boost to enemies, exactly like bursters when they explode in that pink state.

Sometimes the barrel cooling mod that sorta counteracts the increased fire rate one will stop function when I start a level. (from the shop/battle screen, not just randomly between waves) I think it's when I change something in the upgrade/mods equips. I'm not sure if it's just the cooling one, or if they all sometimes decide to just not work that time. Obviously the cooling mod is the most noticable, but it wouldn't surprise me others did failed to load or whatever too.

Alright, I've pushed out another update, this should take care of the issues you were seeing with inventory/loadout. Also fixed that issue of adding upgrades with the controller that caused them to be downgraded at the same time.
