What type of game is this?

Hello all, I'm considering buying this game. And I'm wondering why type of game this is.

Is this a rail shooter? An rpg? Anything like the online version?

You know that old game where you shoot ducks and everytime you fail that annoying dog pops up and laugh at your misery? Well its same but in 3D with mecha steampunk ducks and dog now stuck in your brain laughing at fact that you wasted money for such horrible repetive game.

It's a game where you travel along a map one section at a time and shoot planes that attack your airship.

You have to move around to fire the different guns mounted on the airship as well as repair damage to guns, engines, balloon etc.

At the end of sections you get new guns etc. depending on how much cargo survived.

I played it back not long after it came out, the graphics are getting dated now but it was fun. But it's not a very long game.

I enjoyed playing it.

There is a newer game with proper multiplayer but the guns have a very limited swivel so I like the gameplay of the original best.

Sort of? You're on a blimp and you just have to survive until you reach your destination. You have to split your time between maning (manning?) the guns and repairing the various parts, which you do in a 3D setting.

I see, I think. you have no control over the actual direction of the blimp itself?

Not really, the only control you would take is at the end of every level you choose a harder or easier route.

Each set of routes gives different XP and Weapon bonuses, I haven't tried Online though, I enjoyed the game but replayability is on the low side!

It's the same thing as Guns of Icarus online except that theres no multiplayer, you get no crew, you cant pilot the ship, your being attacked by airplanes and not other ships, there is almost no progression, the graphics suck, and it's extremely repetetive.

It's a wierd rail shooter. Personally find it clunky and dull to play.

you are on your own it pilots itself but you fix and shoot, you do get a hat in the online one though
