Will you buy the game after Denuvo gets removed?
Not picking any sides here. Just interested how many mouse icons will have appeared next week when I check this topic again.

Yes, though I'll probably wait for a sale to do so, unless they pull an Inside and list it on GOG (They just had a great example of how DRM, even excessive DRM that ticks off your customers, doesn't stop piracy. Why not go all the way now that they learned how ineffective their flailing against the inevitable actually was?) where I'd pay full retail for it today.

Yes, but I'll probably wait for a sale as I wasn't too interested in this game but the dev's promising to remove denuvo made it interesting.

Maybe that's why devs keep using it even when it's almost immediately cracked these days, to earn some bonus points for pulling the useless garbage.
Yes. I honestly would've bought it anyway, had I the chance, with or without Denuvo, but that's just because personally I don't care. But if it gets denuvo out, even better.

Bunch of sheep.

Hell no I won't buy it. I won't even play it. I'll only pirate it so I can seed it for others. F*ck these anti-consumer cucks.

After reading about how aggressive the Denuvo implementation was and how much it affects performance, I'm really on the fence about this. I don't think a developer that blatantly screws over paying customers should be supported, ever, even if they do remove Denuvo (now that it's worthless).

I think I'm just going to watch a lets play on Youtube for this one. This entire experience has been very depressing, beyond the scope of this single game

Nope, I wanted to buy it but adding Denuvo is a deal breaker for me. I will not buy this one or any game by this dev ever.

Short sightedness and stupidity should not be encouraged.

Well i've they remove Denuvo you atleast people could have a reason to buy it bceause this version of Denuvo actually affects performance, words from the cracker:

"In previous games like Sgw3, Nier, Prey there were only about 1000 “triggers” called, so we have x300 here. Next – 300,000 called “triggers” were just warmup for Denuvo, after 30 minutes of gameplay it became 2 f’ing MILLIONS of called “triggers”. Protection now calls about 10-30 triggers every second during actual gameplay, slowing game down. In previous games like Sgw3, Nier, Prey there were only about 1-2 “triggers” called every several minutes during gameplay, so do the math.”

There's even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ news on polygon about this, another extract from that article

“The game will be much better without that huge abomination called Denuvo. In Rime that ugly creature went out of control — how do you like three ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hundreds of THOUSANDS calls to ‘triggers’ during initial game launch and savegame loading?” Baldman explained. “Did you wonder why game loading times are so long — here is the answer.”

I would still like a demo. I don't pirate and im not too fond of buying a game to try it and then refunding.
Lemdoran Jun 1, 2017 @ 2:22pm
As i already buyed the game day one, i'll definetly not buy it once denuvo removed. But as i saw the big gain in performance with a cracked version (confirmed on my pc, from 25 -35 fps to constant 60 with notable faster loadings), i'll definetly refund it, denuvo or not. Next time (if any next time planed) maybe this studio will think about customer first :)

Of course what you said it's just the sensible thing to do, it has been objectively proven that Denuvo in this game affects heavily to performance( there's even an article in polygon now) yet there's thread of people defending Denuvo and things i don't get it, the devs CHOSE to put a version of Denuvo that is intrusive and affects performance and then had the balls to say that they added Denuvo to defend costumers, they are shady as ♥♥♥

No, because the developer has proven they willingly intend to mistreat the consumer.
TheAlchemist Jun 1, 2017 @ 2:40pm
I mean for everyone that still don't get it, Devs knew Denuvo slowed performance, they were the ones to put the code, they acknoleged that Denuvo had a ''small hit on performance'' but in reality it was a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal for most people, and after that they lied everyone saying that they put Denuvo to protect consumers. You can say it was all the publishers's fault but the devs are as guilty as the ones who close their eyes and ears and post thread defending Denuvo, after the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that this game is unleashing with gaming sites posting news about what the cracker said of Denuvo and asking for Rime's head, Denuvo devs are desperate to sacrifice everything to stop a game for beign cracked in this case untold pings on the game, tomorrow it will be another thing in the end consumers get ♥♥♥♥♥

YUP, BUT they have to fix performance issues AND remove Denuvo.
johngannon Jun 1, 2017 @ 2:56pm
Yeah, looks like Denuvo is responsible for the horrid performance issues. I'm not spending a dime on a game with Denuvo.
