Have to buy this game again?
This is weird..my boyfriend and I played Ns2 just yesterday, and today it says I have to buy the game instead of "Play".
How does it come?
We both bought our key from the same shop and he can play without promblems...it's just me who can't.

Anyone else having this problem? Please fix this, I need my daily Ns2 dose :D.

"We are currently looking into this issue. Recently Steam keys that were purchased with credit cards that declined the charge were deactivated. We believe that some unscrupulous companies were using stolen credit cards to obtain keys from us and then resell them. The owner of the actual credit credit would then deny the charge, which results in us not getting paid for the purchase and receiving a "charge back" fee from the credit card company.

If you are experiencing this problem, please e-mail me at max@unknownworlds.com with information on where you bought from and we'll get it sorted out."

thats what you get if you piss people off!
they actually will think twice next time.

You bought a stolen key. Or rather, a key purchased with stolen money, which the credit card company has since taken back (and charged an extra fee to the makers of the game, to the tune of about $30,000 in total).

Chances are your boyfriend bought a stolen key as well, they just haven't deactivated it yet, because the credit card company hasn't caught on that it was stolen money for that one, either.

Und die Moral von der Geschicht':
Kaufe Natural Selection von dubiosen russischen Seiten nicht.

Während des Steam Winter Angebots war's 60% runtergesetzt und letztens zum Gorgeous Updates auch 50%.

Which store did you buy it from? It'd be nice to know which retailers need to be avoided.

I got the deluxe version from a site back before halloween. Woke up this morning and it was deactivated. Was pissed as HELL. Then I read what was going on. I was kind of torn.

Obviously I'm upset with losing out on money, but I wholeheartily think Unknown Worlds deserves the money. I have 60 hours in the game and don't plan on stopping. So I bought another copy through steam.

I wasn't aware you could try to work it out with them, but I'm happy my money finally found its way home.

The Shop where i bought the key is gameholds.com. Never had any problems with them, expect now xD... well i simply buy a key again now here in steam and that's it.

Hope i can refund my money..see ya ingame :).

Thanks for your understanding, Strawberry and Ultimeas. It's a terrible situation, and it is a shame that customers like you got screwed by these scam sites. We really had no choice but to disable those invalid keys, for a variety of reasons, but we hope you can dispute the charges with your credit card companies and get your money back.

Hope to see you in game.

I wont open a dispute for 15$... but yes i agree Unknown Worlds deserves the money, i had the game for months in my library, started playing last week when i really was enjoying the game, bammm this happens. I will buy the game again for sure, this time from a 100% legit store, just waiting from a promo (soon i hope), i always supported indie companies (Tripwire is one of my fav) I also like you guys, best wishes !

I have seen this argument quite a few times, it really puzzles me. Is it really that much work to email your CC company the link to your steam support ticket and the UWE post?

Get the game on "STEAM" = no problem !

Its not that it's hard, if you do it your entire account get disabled until you undo the chargeback.
