What is wrong with the loading time o_0

Just installed and started the game and it told me I have to optimize it. Im doing it right now and every 30sec precaching gets one percent added to it. That is ridiculous. I just got 2 GB ram and my processor is just a 2.66GHz Dual core but that doesnt jutify that.
Are you experiencing the same problem or does the game load fine?

Its quite bad, yeah, but its enough to play on at least edium settings with my graphics card.
And thats no excuse for the loading time, other games load 100000000 times faster.

20s loading times, your CPU is indeed a factor. Though even with that it should not take more than one minute if you have done the initial optimization, if not it should only take over one minute on the first time loading a level when the hardware/setting specific optimisation is done for the level.

Did the optimization at the start but it didnt change anything. Still needs a ridiculously huge amount of time for precaching -.-

Dual Core 2.6 ghz? Sounds indeed like nearly 10 years old :)
But again, even than it should load faster. Please check your smart status of your hdd.

For me it takes around... well, it's maybe more then 2-3 minutes. Mostly that precaching takes too much time. Similar config, 2,66 Ghz 2 GB RAM.
However the design and the graphics can't comapre other mainstream shooters.

Same here, zero HDD activity for about 1 to 2 minutes and then my HDD finnaly seems to think its time to for precache to load up, which takes about 40 seconds.

It doesn't require an ssd, although any serious gamer in 2013 currently has an ssd, that being said - you're the one complaining about the load time, so for you maybe it does take an ssd. It doesn't require anything, but if you aren't willing to have current hardware it's silly to complain :p

If you were sitting on an i7 4790k 780ti and a samsung 840 pro ssd and it was loading slow, maybe i'd be upset. But you guys are on generations old hardware complaining

I have an i5 and 4GB of ram, still takes about 2 minutes to load up a game. It's not as bad as it used to be, but it's pretty annnoying nonetherless.

core 2 duo 2,66 GHz? too slow im afraid. U can play on lowest settings to get an idea of the game but it really shines with dx11 and ambient light, so you need a 64 bit processor 8 GB RAM and decent graphics, like 160 € and above. I got nearly ur specs on my old rig and thats the only way to get above 20 fps and loading times of 3 - 5mins (1st time loading always slower than afterwards).

@SirDavies 4 GB RAM could be upgraded to 8 after my experience. Got an i5 too and 8 Gigs and it loads in a minute (1st time).

I think this game is very very CPU-heavy due to its lack of optimization. its the only game which gets my cpu-fan spinning faster than normal, compared to skyrim or SC:BL on full details.
