Devs don't browse here much, but are on the NS2 forums
Not good at all.
WinXP (32-bit) users cover Less than 2% of the NS2 player base, and it's holding back the features they (CDT) want to put in, and getting it to work on XP difficult due to memory needed.
WinXP is a medieval aged OS, no one's going to make any games in about a year that'll work on WinXP.
Upgrade to WinXP 64-bit, if your attached to XP.
But 64-bit OS are here and taking over, prepare to need a new OS that is 64-bit.
I use my XP machine for play and entertainment. Games i tend to value more are old games which have no issues running on an XP machine unlike say W8 which is of no use to me.
I have niether the time, feel the need, or have the motivation to upgrade this machine to just play NS2 when 99% of the things i use the machine for work without any issue at all.
I will at some point build a new gaming rig when i have a good enough incentive to do so but NS2 most certainly is not that incentive.
Back a year ago, this game was unplayable #### to me. HOWEVER, now it runs better than ever... 90 fps solid, maxed with no drops! They seriously did great work on the updates.
