Best thing in Natural Selection?

What have you liked most about NS? It can be anything from the NS1 HL1 mod or NS2.

It reminds me of playing the Quake 2 mod Gloom which NS1 was based off. For years and years I have been trying to find a game that could bring back the feeling of my fav game of all time, GLOOM.

The ridiculously different playstyles between Marines and Aliens and Commanding, this game is extremely replayable for these reasons.

Well, NS2 has made the Marines and Aliens more allike than in NS1 but still adding a few changes to make them different.

The best thing is the gameplay because this kind of Gameplay is only in NS2 :)

In ns1 I enjoyed that the marines were the ones who had a single comander and the gorges were the battle commanders who used the team res. Not saying it was supreame

Yeah, but i guess thats the same with every FPS with some RTS elements, unless they are out scouting or protecting resource collecters like in ARMA 2 or a player commands a resource opperation in Battlezone 2.

A game where both teams have a balanced or even level of skill, they are more rare than a vial of the tears of a politician. In all my time playing natural selection 1 and 2, you'll rarely get a well matched pair of teams.

I think I spend over 800 hours on NS1... and while the marine start was always the same, I did not have a problem with replayabillity at all.

Maybe 1 out of 20 games where repeative, but that was it.

I prefered the marine comm only.
