I stopped playing this game because of poor optimization

I want this thread to tell about future dev plans to improve this games optimization.
And no I don't mean that little optimization that it runs, I'm talking about fps cuz the game takes good advantage of our GPU's and CPU's properly

Well the development reigns have been given over to a community volunteer team and the new game from the Devs, Subnautica, will use a different engine. So I would imagine there will be little done in regards to optimization and more in regards to game balance in the future.

I get 100+ FPS. So personally I haven't seen this poor optimization.

Then again...I run an i7 3770k @ 4.8ghz and a 780ti Classified...max settings ofc

The game was really poor optimized in the beginning. But now I don't think you can say that anymore. If you have performance problems, it's most likly your rigs fault.

Well, UWE doesn't seem to do much with the game anymore. Maybethe community team fixes the performance a little bit, know whos.

Really need a highend intel cpu (4770k) to get a good framerate, even better if you oc'd it.

I've got a 1090T black edition at 4ghz and a GTX 480 overclocked to outperform a GTX580. I don't see why I shouldn't get at least 60fps on high settings but I don't.
I have to say though that I tried the games yesterday and got about 20fps more than the last time I played, giving me about 45fps average

The game doesn't use more than 2 cores last I checked.

Not to say the game shouldn't run better, but this isn't really a game you want to run at high settings. Try turning off at least AO, atmospherics and bloom and maybe shadows. It won't look as nice but you'll get used to it pretty fast and having high fps is HUGE in this game. I keep most settings off to get almost constant 100+ fps.

Then again it might not help you that much, because that CPU just can't compete with newer Intels. I had to upgrade my 965BE when NS2 and Planetside 2 came out...
