Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 crash on main screen
What the hell guys I haven't played for a while but both games were working perfectly with mods. Now it crashes when it reaches the main menu, like where you can select stuff. I even cleaned Skyrim, reinstalled twice, no mods, all are disabled on NMM checked the plugins, none other than the Bethesda ones are active. Game still crashes.

Thought it might be some retarded update on the creation club, so I used the disable creation club mod for Fallout 4, still crashes after "Press any key to continue" = on main menu.

Note that I can't login Bethesda mods since it crashes, probably because my IP doesn't fit their retarded standard or whatever issue that's still not resolved after years.

Try to disconnect your internet connection.

That works thanks, but it's still not a fix. What the ♥♥♥♥ Bethesda? If I wanted to play offline from Steam with no achievements or anything, I'd play a pirated version that doesn't require Steam or anything. I bet it's the creation club or mods or news, which don't work on specific IP's or some dumb reason people found, while Bethesda still haven't fixed it. So people crash when they click on the "Mods" on main menu? LET'S MAKE A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MAIN MENU NEWS BULLETIN THAT WORKS ON THE SAME PRINCIPLE. THANKS BETHESDA.

It's all because of the Creation Club in the main menu. They changed something and it's now displaying news/connecting when you enter the main menu, so If you never used it and/or had crashes before when trying to enter it from the menu, then your game will crash after bethesda logo. IT'S NOT YOUR MODS, DO NOT REINSTALL YOUR GAME OR DELETE ANY MODS. F Creation Club man... :/

To bypass this problem you can:
1. Turn off your internet connection when launching the main menu. You can turn it back on after you load your save game, but do not go back to the main menu with active connection or it will crash anyway (quit the game to desktop when done).
2. Use VPN to change your location.
3. Block the game client in your firewall so it cannot access the internet.

I know, I realized this since it worked offline and I even re-replied to my online ticket to support. Called them morons since this was a know issue that people had when clicking on Mods.

What was the IP number that was allowed by bethesda.com? Since I can't find the thread anymore. Now I have to manually re-enable all my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mods. Thanks Bethesda.

The only solution I came with (Bethesda support were busy trying to see if my system is to blame instead) is using phone tether, since my phone has a different IP ... they will further look into it but it's been an issue for 2 years now with logging into the Mods for some people, so my hopes aren't high. Still they were nice enough to try to help.
