that's sad to hear. I picked this one up in a bundle but haven't played it yet. Tower defense can be fun, depends on the game though.

They can't all be Defense Grid and Plants Vs. Zombies.

I think Greed Corp is an SLG rather than a tower defense game.

There are no monsters trying to reach your home or base. There is an opponent who builds factories, fortresses, and units as you do, and occupies tiles against you. Tiles can be destroyed either by bombed or by raised money from the factories, so you have to manipulate carefully.

Sounds interesting. But as I understand, the four factions in the game are almost the same. So I say it has a potentially powerful system, but shortly developed.

How the hell is Greed Corp a tower defence game? It's blatantly a turn based strategy game.
It's unfortunate that games like this die, but you can always buy your friends copies of it and make them play with you.

I think your best bet would be too start a steam group for it. Then announce playing sessions through it. It's a hassle sure. But at least it would get played.

I own this on XBLA and im really disapointed that you can't play local multiplayer(couch-multiplayer) in the steam version.

Its been dead for a while, it never was a really popular game to begin with, fun for single player.

I only played SP, (12 hours) to finish it, was quite a while ago, but it was a very good game for the money, well polished and complete. Never tried multiplayer, but there wasnt really a whole lot of replayability in it. If it comes up in a steam sale for less than £6, I recomend buying it, its far better than most of the sh** steam puts out.
