requesting a refund - Uplay won't let me register
I hate when games appear to work on Steam, yet still try their own 3rd party crap like Uplay. Why spend hours trying to get registered and installed? There are SO many other games to play.

Did you try copy pasting the gold CD key?

There are no refunds, at least I never heard anyone getting one.

there is no place to paste in the cd key. I try to "create new account" on the Uplay screen and the "submit" button, whatever it says, "does nothing." no error messages. no confirmation. just sits there.

Try registering on the Ubi website, to bypass needing to register through the client.
