Might & Magic: Heroes VI

Might & Magic: Heroes VI

UPlay HD Usage
I installed Might & Magic: Heroes VI on my second HD and it takes about 10.5GB. Fine. Expected.

However in order to run it also made me install UPlay. UPlay installed on my MAIN disk (an SSD with very limited space) without asking for a location, and is taking up 80 f'ing GB!!! in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames" One save file in particular is greater than 24GB! This is causing my computer problems since this is on the limit of what the OS drive can hold.

I would like to know:
1) Why do I need UPlay at all?
2) Why didn't it let me choose where it should install? (I put everything but the OS on my 2nd disk)
3) WHY THE F*** is this taking 80GB? I don't even have a SINGLE save game due to my PC crashing during the very first map of the campaign? And the game itself is only 10GB. Why does the F***ing useless launcher, or "saved games" take 8x the size of the game itself?
------
4) How can I fix this? Can I just delete the saves folder?

I am NOT happy about this. Any help would be appreciated.

Uninstalling UPlay fixed my HD issues. Although now the game cannot launch from steam and it gives an error. Do I have to redownload the whole game even though the game itself is still there and I am only missing UPlay? How can I get this running without these issues? I REALLY hate that Ubisoft and EA feel the need and right to cram their own sh!!y versions of steam/battlenet down our throats. Especially when it is for a game I bought on STEAM and NOT their crappy systems.
I found this: http://steamcommunity.com/app/48220/discussions/0/630800445701899271/?insideModal=1

Basically it says: in steam properties for this game, go to "set launch options..." and add "-offline". This gets the game running, and I have uninstalled UPlay.

Thanks. The solution is not perfect. It seems there are some kind of hero perks which are not available when in offline mode for single player. What a load of BS! But at least the single player game actually works now.
