attempting to restore network connection issue

Just got the game and I'm getting 'attempting to restore network connection' in campaign and skirmish.
All other games can connect to the internet just not this one.
Firewall isn't blocking it either.
I have Anno 2070 which uses uplay also and it has never had an issue.

have same problem... playing farcry3 - everything OK, but settlers cannot conect to server =(

game has connected to the server, everything OK, you still have problem with it?

update.
after going through a few things with ubisoft support, i disabled my firewall and ran the game and it worked fine.
I have allowed uplay and settlers access to the internet but there must be something else that the firewall is blocking. The logs say nothing though.

finally sorted it out. :)
The firewall needs allow osi.exe which is in a ubisoft folder.
However my firewall showed no mention that osi.exe was trying to connect to the internet.
Ubisoft support didn't mention this file needs to be allowed on the firewall either.

Just bought this game and cannot play it...

I don't see any osi.exe in the Ubisoft folder?

Please help. Steam should not sell this ♥♥♥♥ in the current state. WTF I thought DRM was removed?

In 'ubisoft game launcher\data\' and then a few more deeper after that from memory. A search of osi.exe should find it.
