Chase Scene Crash

I'm not sure what is causing this but every time I get to the part where the "cult" guys are going to chase Mae, my game crashes. It basically just closes or shuts down. I have no idea how to get past this. I thought it was the game sync to Steam but I tried to do it without that and the same thing happened. If anyone has experienced the same thing or something similar and knows how to take care of it for Linux, please help. Thanks.
