Stronghold 3 Bad Fps/ Performance

I recently downloaded Stronghold 3 and am only getting about 10-20 fps on low everything, when I can run games like Dishonored on 40-50. I just feel like it's not my laptop letting me down, but the game, is there anything I could do about this?

I think it's your laptop. I'm playing on a 7 year old PC and getting 60 to 70 fps maxed.
