Titans of Space PLUS

My Feedback
First of all, this ended up being one of the first VR experiences I ever had with the Google Cardboard. I just got a Vive a few days ago and I was happy to see that Vive was supported!

Here is my initial feedback:

1. The planets look GREAT. Only "complaint" is how when you get to Pluto, some of the textures on the back aren't finished. Obviously we don't have the back side of Pluto to reference, but something to fill in would be nice.

2. THE LATERAL MOVEMENT. I know it has been addressed by others and by you, but it was definitely disorienting and nausea-inducing, even with the reference points. With that said I don't think you should remove it completely as it does allow for some really beautiful movement/visuals, but certainly a straight forward movement option would be appreciated.

3. Laser pointer hands were a bit annoying. In a perfect world, I'd want full movement of the body's hands. In the meantime the laser pointers are a good idea. With that said, it was annoying having them automatically interact with the buttons on the dashboard. My hand/controllers would be resting in my lap and would highlight buttons, making me have to fidget with them constantly so as to stop the distraction and vibration. Making it so you have to press the pad or trigger or something to "turn on" would be a nice improvement.

4. Make the cockpit more interactive! I was hoping for some easter eggs when I pointed the laser pointers at the side parts with (what turned out to be) decorative buttons, but they were just there for looks. Obviously the point of the game isn't to interact with your cockpit, but it would be a nice touch to have interactive buttons that do some random/fun things.

5. Expand out further. I'd like it to go out to galaxy level and beyond. There are a few videos on YouTube that do this and it is ridiculous. Would be even more amazing in this experience!

I know I have a lot of comments, but do know that overall, besides the motion sicknees, I love this and it is an extremely solid experience. It's something that can be enjoyed both at home and in a classroom. You should be extremely proud of what you have done so far with this and I am excited for your next updates whenever they may be!

I will revisit at some point in the future to provide any additional feedback or details I notice.

Thank you for making this!

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate that you took the time to write it out.

You'll be happy to know I'm already addressing most of these in upcoming updates, so I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it when it's done.

Great point about laser-activated buttons being a distraction when you're just sitting there - I'll need to think of a solution for that. Beyond that, I'm introducing some improvements for hand control and motion in the next update in order to take all the anxiety and discomfort out of the experience.

Wasn't aware you could see that the backside of Pluto is missing imagery, so I'll look into that!

Thanks. :)
My pleasure. Keep up the great work!

Just letting you know that items #1 and #2 have been addressed in Update #2. If you're up to it, I'd be interested to hear how the new comfort mode feels to you!
I have my system packed up because I'm moving but once I'm settled back in I'll set up vive and have another go!!!
Also I really appreciate that you followed up!
