This game has ruined my steam experience its the first game I bought and I don't think I'll buy anything else from steam

These sort of errors can occur from time to time, especially with older games. It's normal.

What you need to do is update your video card drivers. You must ensure you download them directly from the hardware vendor and not Microsoft. For example, if you have a GeForce card, then download from www.nvidia.com.

I went to intel.com and updated the drivers for the graphics card and still nothing

I'm afraid there's not much left to do other than trying a different set of drivers (even it it's older).

Intel can be a very touchy video card. Sorry :(

As for languages, only English is supported on Steam.

Davidschmidt... You seem to have a laptop as well, judging from your videocard. Is it a dual videocard system or do you just have the intel graphics?

its a all in one desktop from dell it just says intel pentium inside
