Do you get an entire fleet?

I've played a few games like this, and my problem has always been that you only get one ship. I want a game where you can build a fleet with your other ships fighting with you, not just you by yourself. Does this game let me have a fleet that will follow and fight with me?

You get a mothership which is like a base that 6 fighters can be deployed from,think of it like an aircraft carrier.The fighters have to have pilots which you recruit through the game.All of the fighters can be tweaked through items and pilot skill.
You do however start off solo.
