Solution to Xbox One Controller not working
All credit for this goes to the person at this link as well as Gamer4Life137 for compiling the info.

Basically follow the instructions listed and at the end replace the splinter cell folder with the dead rising 2 off the record folder. This worked for me (after about 2 hours searching for a solution, thanks capcom) so hopefully this helps somebody else.

download x360ce (32 bit version for Dead Rising 2)
http://www.x360ce.com/

unpack with winrar or other unpacker

plug in you xbox one controller(don't forget the xbox one driver for windows, ignore if you have the driver installed)

start x360ce, press yes to create ini and the dll, press next to search presets from the internet and press finish, press save, close x360ce.exe, open x360ce.ini search for [InputHook],

this:

[InputHook]
HookMode=1

change it to this:

[InputHook]
HookLL=0
HookCOM=1
HookSA=0
HookWT=0
HOOKDI=1
HOOKPIDVID=1
HookName=0
HookMode=0

ans save the ini file, move the x360ce.ini and xinput1_3.dll to
Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising 2

and play the game ^^

for other games move the 2 files to the main exe of the game

fun fact: using DS4 with DS4Windows works pretty well.

i couldn't get my xbox one controller to work with x360ce :(
will try your solution and report back if it is working after that change.

I tried ds4windows but no dice there :( That's what led me to this solution.
