Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Save game from an old 'borrowed' copy usable if I purchase the game on Steam?
So, I played this game a while to see if it was any fun, and I am now wondering if I can use that save if I buy the game on Steam (because it is fun!).

Can I just place the location in the correct folder and continue where I left?

yes, the char you can play on. The chars are not saved differently.
