Does the Race DLC require other players or is there singleplayer mode

So I'm sorta doing achievement hunting for this game and at the moment I'm only missing the Race DLC achievements because I don't own it (yet, hoping Summer Sales will fix that ;) ) and the achievement for all 5 crystals which I'll be getting very soon as I only have demon steed left to breed.

Just wondering if I can do the Race DLC by myself or do I hope to get lucky and hope there's online activity.

The race does not require other players. You should be fine.
