Why is there an Anti-Cheat enabled on Single Player Offline Mode?
I like to play games both the legit way and the easy way, second play throughs always go better with a little assisstance. I love using trainners to kind of speed through the grinding aspect and enjoy the immersive story process. Maybe a side quest or something I missed along the way, it really does help out.
I don't really care for multiplayer much, the co-op aspect - maybe, but the pvp aspect doesn't apeal to me much in a game like this.

I get the game is an online world. But it's not a purely online game. IE: Titanfall, Destiny, Battlefield, etc.
But If we choose to play single player in an offline mode, the anti-cheat should be disabled. And if players used trainers/cheats to give stat points to their character, whats the worst thing that can happen? They get online with a max level character?

Or the game can be patched like DragonBall Xenoverse 1 & 2, if they read any corrupted data, like more stat points than allowed, or for instance, you're max build but only level 2, then yeah, your character should be blocked from Multiplayer - in which youll have to be forced to start a new game/save.

To me, the anti-cheat is not neccessary in a single player offline mode. To be honest, there's huge community that loves to use trainers/cheats.
Look at Skyrim, the huge mod community it has for PC and is finally making its way to consoles. That speaks for itself right there.
But as a business aspect too, I know a lot of people that have refunded this game because of this reason. It really does hinder the enjoyment for a lot of players and not everyone is that great at games. Not to mention, I have kid brothers and they always want to play big brother's games. And they enjoy running around in god mode. lol.

I get games are an artistic artform and they're meant to be played the way they're made.
But in the end people are there to play in their own ways, methods, and what not.
I don't know about everyone else, but in open world titles, I like my freedom.
To do what I want, when I want, in the grounds and limitations of the game of course... just with a little assistance. That never hurt anyone else before. And it dates way back to the console days too with the game genie and game shark.
Don't limit us CTOS (Ubisoft).

I bought the Gold Edition and once I saw that this has EAC in the Single Player campaign I couldn't request a refund fast enough.

Haha, I don't know why I'm surprised, pooping where they eat is becoming Ubisoft's signature move. Praise jesus for Steam's refund policy.

Here, here. A singleplayer option with out the anti cheat, is required before I'll buy this title.

Well, does this game has micro transaction of some type? Or does single player resources play a role in MP (which means it is indirectly connected - bad design), then you have your answer.

Bump. It's stupid to put anti-cheat in singleplayer.

they want to sell you a cheats DLC down the line. that's what a cynic would say.

An optimist would say, they don't want people to come online with single player hacked gear.

pick your answer :)

To stop cheaters.. Its their game they don't want people messing with it regardless of what mode they play in. Your just renting the game..

Glad I got this free with another purchase. I was totally going to get the game anyway, but when I saw it was included with my purchase, I was going to use the money to get the season pass. Not now. I'm not funneling money into them if they won't let me play it my way. Like others have said, trainers and such are great for a second playthrough.

EasyAntiCheat root kit software. Stupid to put that garbage in single player.
