Silverfall: EA exp - can't access the two new chracters

I just downloaded the the Silverfall + silverfall EA bundle and I don't have the option of using the new characters (dward/lizard). I've tried playing both the orginal and the expansion but neither seem to give me new character options.

Wndering if their is a trick ....

I don't think your EA expansion is properly integrated with the original, so try the solution provided.

I verified my game files and it seemed to work.
