Graphics are scrambled and WASD doesnt work

I bought both Silverfall and EA and it starts me in Silverfall beginning with unreadable graphics, plus i don't have any of the EA enhancements?

So i was able to fix the graphics problem with just deleting and reloading Silverfall. But now it appears the Eart Awakening features are not available in the game and i even dowloaded it again. Weh n idownloaded it alone it was about 7GB, when i downloaded it after Silverfall it was only 42kb...any ideas?

I corrected this by renaming the silverfall directory after doing the initial Silverfall only download 20GB by reinstalling the silverfall EA, 7GB download. I then copied files from the renamed directory into the new one that was created by EA download as shown below.

copy the "sct" files from <renamed file>Silverfall\Data\Design\Mission to the same folder in the EA folder. EA already contains all other necessary data.
Don't overwrite any file, there are the following files in EA folder already, maybe with some script fixes for original game.

map22.sct
map23.sct
map7.sct
Silverfall_free.sct
Silverfall_story.sct


this method gives you all the EA enhancements and allows you to play the game from lev 1 with the new characters.

When i installed Silverfall complete, i just 1st installed Siverfall basic & after EA without need to copie anything more. If you install 1st EA, your EA copie will be replaced by Silverfall basic. That mean install order is important because basic & EA are false standalone.

I need help, I tried Bschittone's step many times with even tried different approach and even based it on the original poster of this solution and still not letting me play level 1 in earth awakening. I must be missing a step or two. Getting really frustraded -_-

The steps that Riotar posted is the one I used over and over and even did some various other types to no avail :( Made me regret not buying it here since Elgar's solutions seems the easiest steps of all I've seen. I'm missing something I'm sure. I've done a lot of these in the past not just Silverfall and I eventually made it work. I'm just not having luck with this one so far. Elvoc maybe you can tell me exactly what you did, I'll appreciate it unless what you did it as perfectly as what Riotar did.

well i did exactly what he said to do but only with Steam folders. I did originally have the same issue with not being able to play Earth awakening, if you install Silverfall first it appears that earth awakening doesnt update correctly, I ended up removing earth and renaming the silverfall directory, then reinstalling Earth awakening, and then manually putting the silverfall files in place with the Earth and it all seemed to work, I had to play with it several times though so I definitely understand your frustration.

Question for you, Riotar mentioned that when you copy the specific files in the orignal silverfall to earth awakening do not overwrite anything right. So after copying does part of your folder looks like this?

Since you didn't replaced and just moved them, there's just 2 copy of the same thing in the awakening folder. This bothered me a lot but I did try replacing them in one for my experient and didn't work. Man I'm really getting frustrated especially since the steps are soooo simple.

I actually replaced things, i did notice a lot of forum hits on this where people just chose to play the games seperately because they couldnt get both to install. I think the Earth awakening game is actually higher level content so if you play just that you make a higher level character.

other than that not really sure what ot tell you, i honestly played this for about 3 days and then just deleted it and started playing Torchlight 2.

Yeah, I'm doing that already but I really wanted to play as level 1 using AE's improved settings. Sigh. I have more interest in this game than torchlight 2. I just can't stand playing T2 atm. I hate the clunkiness of its targetting system, turns me off big time. Silverfall isn't perfect either but this is an older game so I forgive the game for that. Well thanks anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to reply

1. turn OFF silverfall auto update
2. turn off earth awakening update
3. verify cache of earth awakening
4. start earth awakening
5.enjoy =P
