Ho do i combine silverfall and EA please?

Hi,

I purchased EA on disc along time ago and just purchased the original silverfall on steam, but cannot combine both games so I can play Silverfall by using EA from level 1 (the play from level 1 is greyed out and I want the new improved interface from level 1).

Anyone can help I will be very grateful.

I do remember that you have to install the games in separate locations. IIRC, install Silverfall and the EA(in a new directory under Silverfall).

I actually bought both games from Steam and cant seem to get any of the EA things to work, it always just runs Silverfall original with non of the enhancements.

Ok, that's how I did to have both Silverfall and Earth Awakening perfectly work :

• I first installed Silverfall. I launched the setup to define my settings, and played a few minutes with a new character.
  
  
• I then installed Earth Awakening. There is indeed a problem, since the download is only less than 250 MB, and when I launched it, it was Silverfall, no Earth Awakening.
  
  
• Now here's the trick : from the Library section, right-click on Earth Awakening and select Properties from the menu. Then select the Local files tab and click the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button.
  
  
• After the verification process Steam will magically download all the missing files.
  
  
• Launch Earth Awakening and enjoy! You will be able to play either the Silverfall campaign (but with EA enhancements) or play directly the EA campaign.

Elgar's method does indeed seem to work. I must admit that I did not try EA after the small download, but the file check resulted in a 1.2 gig update (14.6 gig total install) and I choose whether to play Silverfall or the expansion from the EA menu.

This needs to be Pinned. for 2-3 hours i have been hunting the world for a fix for SFall, now i find out just run SF EA and pick level 1............ugh its kinda like Titanquest in this way, wish these jerks who take the money at lease put a fix or just Pinn this one.

Do you really need to make first a char in the original silverfall as Elgar posted or could you also skip that process and just install silverfall, then launch and modify settings, quit, install expansion, verify integrity and launch earth awakening?

i installed them both and only loaded silverfall and picked to start at level 1

Well, i first installed Silverfall. Then i went to the options and changed things here and there. Quit, installed Earth Awakening, then did the integrity check (152 files were missing, were downloaded afterwards) and finally launched earth awakening and started with a level 1 the original campaign. Everything is working.

what i had to do, i got pretty far to, then i had to reinstall Steam, and never picked it back up i made a Dwarf he looks so awful

Thanks Elgar! The fix works and I've been scratching my head after reinstalling why the expansion doesn't work when I got the complete package. Just finished vanilla and keen to check out EA.

I installed Silverfall then EA. Before playing, I allready noticed Silverfall EA was not launched. I (finally) found this post and it save my life :-)
This solution works fine. You do not need to create a new character and play it in Silverfall. You can just install both games (1 Silverfall, 2 SEA) and then verify integrity of game cache of SEA. Fixed!!!
