Is there gender related romance？

Just to be clear,I'm not saying romance means much to me or I want romance in this game.But if there is(I know there is in the previous expedition),then I don't want to miss part of the story.
If there isn't,I'll choose a female protagonist.If there is,I might reconsider my choice

I seem to remember one of the devs saying there are one of each opposite sex romances and 2 same sex romances one for each gender, so no matter what gender you pick you should have 2 romance options.

I think it's more about an unrealistic situation most games use with romance where once you have sex they no longer talk to you.

I guess that depends on your sexual performance as to if it is realistic or not in the real world :D

Hmm I probably shouldn't reply to this, but you should know that there are no purely homosexual romances in the game. There are two straight and two bisexual, plus another two straight NPC side-romances.

So... uhm. I would've personally loved to have purely homosexual romances in the game, but we didn't have the resources for that.

Wait... what? How can you not have the resources for homosexual romance options but you do for other sexual orientations? How much more resources could it take to remove one heterosexual one and switch it to a homosexual relationship? I don't see how a few lines of dialog would be too much resources.

Don't push it so hard man.Personally I'd love to see a “purely homosexual romance” too,but I understand not all developers have a queer fanbase as big as bioware's,they need to appeal to the majority first.

Writing a romance is hard and it takes a lot of time. You want as many people as possible to have access to that content. Sadly that means some minorities get less attention.

At least we had time to write a bunch of dialogue this time that was specific to the homosexual pairings, and you even get a different denouement for it. We hope you'll enjoy the content :)

Oh sorry. i have no problems with homesexuals romances. i even played throught some of them when roleplaying. Both gay and lesbian ones before the usual suspects turn up :) it is just that lately certain developers were not only going 20% straight male 20% straight female 20%bisexual 20% lesbian 20% gay (which is understandable even if some sexual orientations make lesser percentage of population (cost to ratio of how many people will see such content versus effort it takes) to prioritizing LGBT+ romances(i groan but okay) to purposefully uglifying straight romances and making player unable to create "hot" caucasian. Damn now i understand you feeling Jonas. you mean well you have concise point in your head and when you attempt to transfer it into paper or in this case internet it comes out differently.
